Hand in Hand Music Studio was built on the conviction that every child possesses limitless potential. Through the Suzuki Early Childhood curriculum, we foster musical mastery alongside the cognitive and emotional development vital for a strong life foundation.

Inspired by Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy, we provide a nurturing environment where education begins at the very earliest stages. Our mission is to support a lifelong journey of learning, bridging the gap between early childhood discovery and advanced instrumental study for families throughout our community.

Meet Your Teachers

Miss Rebekah

Music lessons were a priority in my family. I began playing the piano as soon as I could reach the keys! My musical training began at the age of three with Suzuki violin and then with traditional piano at age five. In high school, I had many other interests but knew that teaching music was what I really wanted to pursue.

I have a Bachelors of Music degree from Bob Jones University in Piano Performance, graduating Magna Cum Laud. I worked as a paid accompanist for private lessons, and rehearsals, recitals and competitions.

After graduation, I continued my training with the Suzuki Association of the Americas, completing all seven levels of piano certification (Nightingale Chen, Katherine Monsour Barley, Joan Krzywicki, and Sue Bakshi) and am Vice President of Piano of the Greater Philadelphia Suzuki Association (GPSA). Part of my continuing education includes workshops and lessons with world-renown teachers and trainers from around the word. I have experience teaching with many different methods and with all ages of students. I have also recently completed certification to teach Suzuki Early Childhood Education and have founded an early child music studio, Hand in Hand Music Studio which offers classes in the Bucks/Mont area.

Besides maintaining a thriving private studio in the Philadelphia region for the past 20 years, I am also a sought after collaborative pianist, working with many local teachers and schools.

While not teaching, I enjoy performing pieces by living composers and music that makes people smile. My husband is also a musician, trained in voice and conducting, and we have performed several recitals together. Perhaps my greatest accomplishment is being Suzuki mom to four terrific kids.

Miss Abby

I started playing the violin at the age of 5, when my mom took me for lessons with my first Suzuki teacher. She always made it a priority to raise her children with music in their lives. I grew up in a musical family, and eventually attended Temple University's Boyer College of Music where I studied violin performance with Hirono Oka of the Philadelphia Orchestra. I went on to graduate from Eastern University, where I studied with former Philadelphia Orchestra member, Cindy Campetti, as well as had masterclasses with current concertmaster, David Kim.

I graduated with a Bachelors of Music in 2009 and went on to start a private studio, Bloom & Grow Violin Studio. I took Suzuki training with Sharon Miller, and have recently completed the Suzuki Early Childhood Education training with Danette Warren. I am an active member of the Greater Philadelphia Suzuki Association.

I have played in many area orchestras such as the Main Line Symphony, was concertmaster of the Providence Chamber Orchestra, played with Orchestra Concordia, and the Montgomery County Chorale and Orchestra. I also love to play in small chamber groups for events and weddings.

In addition to teaching, I homeschool two of my three children, and I'm a "Suzuki Mom" to one of them. I love to garden, read, and do yoga in my spare time. I am passionate about giving kids a screen-free outlet and helping them see music as a lifelong friend. I believe the earliest years are the perfect time to plant that seed, when children are naturally curious, absorbing everything around them, and building not just musical skills, but the character and confidence that will carry them well beyond the music studio!
